Open Access Policy

FOCI is a Diamond Open Access journal. There are absolutely no Article Processing Charges (APCs) or submission fees for authors, and no paywalls for readers.

1. Copyright & Licensing

All articles published by FOCI are distributed under the terms of the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC-BY 4.0). This permits unrestricted use, distribution, and reproduction in any medium, provided the original author and source are properly cited.

Authors retain the unrestricted copyright and full publishing rights of their manuscripts.

2. Financial Model

Unlike traditional commercial publishers, FOCI operates entirely via funding from our governing Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) and voluntary academic labor. We believe that access to high-level computer science research should not be determined by an institution's financial resources.

3. Archiving and Repository Policy

Authors are explicitly encouraged to deposit the final published PDF, as well as pre-prints, in institutional repositories (such as arXiv) immediately upon acceptance.
